As a non-smocker who lives in a country where smoking is banned in every closed public facilities and who has been to Japan, I swear I can't wait for this ban to be adopted. I understand that smoking is already really strict in Tokyo (some streets are banned from smocking, you have to smoke at the designated areas outside the subway), and Japanese people are all in all really clean about it (they carry pocket ashtray a lot!), but passive smocking is really an issue, and I really hope they can achieve a better environement for everyone :)

Agree with your opinion! I wish my country's goverment could also take this issue seriously. I mean here nobody cares if others pay the consecuences of their stupid behaviour. Passive smocking really bothers me since I suffer from a autoimmune condition and that poisoned smoke just make the whole situation worsen. I'm sorry for the random and bitter comment...
